Terms of service

These terms govern access to and use of the Rootd platform. By using the service, the customer agrees to them on behalf of its organization.

1. Acceptance

By accessing the platform or entering an order, you agree to these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it.

2. The service

Rootd provides a multi-tenant battery-intelligence platform: ingest, a vendor-neutral digital twin, forecasts, and recommendations delivered via APIs and dashboards. Rootd supplies no hardware and operates no fleets or stations.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to access another tenant's data, reverse-engineer the platform, or use outputs to make safety-critical decisions without independent verification. expand prohibited-use list with counsel

4. Intellectual property

Rootd retains all rights in the platform and the derived digital twin and models. The customer retains rights in its underlying telemetry and is granted a limited right to use the outputs for its operations.

5. Disclaimers

Forecasts, projections, estimated state-of-charge, and residual-value bands are decision-support outputs provided "as is," without warranty of accuracy. They are estimates derived from telemetry, not guarantees. align warranty language with counsel

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability is limited as set out in the order. Rootd is not liable for decisions made solely in reliance on platform outputs. insert caps & carve-outs

7. Term & termination

These terms apply for the duration of the order. Either party may terminate for material breach; on termination, access ends and data is handled per the Data processing terms.
